Parent Information Meetings (Juniors & Seniors)
Parents of juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to attend special meetings which will provide detailed information regarding the costs and expectations of the student’s senior year. These meetings are held in conjunction with Report Card Night. For more information, please call the Activities Office at 626-815-5225, or check the School Calendar in October & March.

Students Participating in Clubs, Activities, and Athletics
In most cases, students will be asked to purchase an ASB card for the school year.  The revenue received from the sale of these cards pays for expenses generated from student participation.  For more information click on these links:     Athletic Information          Activities & Clubs Information

Transporting Students To & From a School Activity
District transportation is provided to and from most school sponsored activities.  If there is a need for parents to transport their own son/daughter to or from an event, the proper authorization must be given by a school administrator, in advance.  Click here for the authorization form.

Picking up Students After Events
Parents are expected to pick up their son/daughter from school activities/events at the ending time of the event.  This includes events such as dances, activities, and athletics which end after 9pm.

Dropping off students at school in the mornings.
If you have tried to drop off your student in the mornings and after school, you know how much congestion there is on Cerritos Avenue.  The areas where the curbs are painted red, are "no-drop" zones.  The safest and most convenient place to drop off and pick up students is the student parking lot on Cerritos Avenue.  When exiting the student parking lot, drivers are allowed to turn right or left onto Cerritos Avenue.  We encourage all parents to take advantage of using this parking area.
Please remember that the staff parking area is NOT a drop-off or pick up zone.  Please keep this area clear for parents with appointments and staff members.

CIF Parent Focus Group

Since 2007-08 school year the State CIF has hosted regional Parent Advisory Committee meetings.  These regional committees have met in various locations around the state and we have discussed with parents many aspects of high schools sports with our main focus on how the State CIF can better communicate with parents and students.   One of the major outcomes from past parent focus groups was the development and implementation of the email “State CIF Parents Newsletter” and numerous improvements to our web site with content that parents have requested.

With the onset of the new school year, it is time once again for the CIF to seek nominations for this important committee.  This is where I need your help.  Would you please print out the nomination form and give to a member of your athletic parent community that you think has an understanding of high school sports and would be a positive asset to  the committee.  Nominees will be placed into regional pools and does NOT guarantee selection to the committee as we strive to have a wide and diverse committee that reflects the students of our state along with the many sports that our students participate.

The deadline for the receipt of applications to the State CIF is Thursday September 30, 2010 and the application requires the endorsement and signature of the high school principal.  In advance, thank you for all your help and support!!!
